What do I need?
You’ll need some ID; If you’re a student you’ll need some proof of study/enrollment and If you are a working professional you’ll need to submit a proof of income. Additionally, proof of address and details of your co-signer are essential.

Who needs a guarantor?
(a) Students, undergraduate or postgraduate;(b) New to Country / without credit history, with sufficient financial resources;(c) employed, earning at least 22x the monthly rent

What documents do I need to apply?
We will always request your Right to Rent document, which can be either your passport or visa if applicable. Additionally, we require proof of your address, such as a bank statement, payslip, or official letter dated within the last 3 months under your name.For students, we need proof of study and contact details of your co-signer. Co-signers are required to provide ID and proof of income.If you are employed or self-employed, we will need proof of income, which can be provided through bank statements, payslips, or your last SA302.

Will I get accepted?
For working professionals, it is required to demonstrate earnings equivalent to 1.5 times their portion of the rent. Students must provide proof of study.Additionally, we request other necessary documents and a co-signer. We approve 99% of applicants who can furnish these details.

Who is a Co-signer?
You are required to have a co-signer to join the rental agreement.When you choose Housing Hand as your rent guarantor, a co-signer needs to sign up with you. This individual can be a parent, family member, or friend, as long as they are employed and over the age of 18, making them generally eligible.There won't be a credit check for either you or your co-signer. The co-signer assumes responsibility for ensuring you meet the obligations outlined in your tenancy agreement, serving as a point of contact if we are unable to reach you.
